The Return of Tiger
I for one, believe that he is building his stamina and sharpening his skillset. His latest round at the U.S. Open showed two flaws that have been his strengths in the past, specifically his putting and chipping. For the most part, his strength is still there. His drives match that of most top-notch golfers and his iron shots remain in the upper echelon of his peers.
My hope is that he plays in more events. There are some rumors that the PGA will give him some type of exempt status. Just what that may look like remains unknown. I believe it would be good for the game of golf. It’s one thing to practice and practice, but there is nothing that can beat getting out on the golf course in events that will sharpen his game. Tiger Woods dominated the game of golf for years and that alone is deserving of special status.
What is your opinion about the possibility of Tiger’s return to more PGA events?
