Perhaps 2026 is the year Justin Rose takes 1st in the Masters Tournament

The 2025 Masters Tournament was not the first time that Justin Rose came in second place. It may be hard to imagine, but this was the third time he came in second place. In 2015 he tied for second place along with Phil Mickelson.  They both lost to then 21-year-old Jordan Spieth. In 2017 he was runner-up to Sergio Garcia after a playoff.

Thus far, the Masters Tournament top prize has eluded Justin Rose. Although Rory McIlroy defeated Rose this year for the Masters Tournament and he did so with a nerve-racking putt in sudden death play it does not diminish the accomplishment of Rose.  Rose put on a dazzling display of golf.  Rose finished with a round of 75 on the third round of the tournament.   At age 44, you might think he no longer has the vigor and vitality to bounce back for the final round. Justin Rose is a warrior and pressed on to play.  If anyone thought that Rose would completely fold, he proved them wrong. Rose pressed on for the final round and finished with a score of 66. Coming in 2nd place for one of golf’s most respected tournaments is a feat that is incredibly difficult for even the best of golfers, to accomplish this three times within 10 years is almost impossible. Something tells me that Rose is the pro capable of winning the Masters in 2026.

My hope is that Justin Rose continues to seek the top prize in the Maters Tournament in 2026.  He has the skill and stamina to fight and win.
